Adrift On An Endless Ocean

One of those loose sketchy projects that turns out well.
I started with drawing using water colour pencils on some heavy paper that I had previously stretched on a frame.
A plain water wash blended the pencil for the underpainting and when it was dry and the surface was taught again I applied a few glazing layers of acrylic.
A simple experiment in my life long quest to do things quicker with a satisfying exploration of colour balance and ennui.
